The Persistent Blog

Blue

I’ve been blogging for a while now, and I can’t help but wonder what keeps some blogs alive while others die; even a blog that is being updated often with great content doesn’t compete with that persistent blog that seems to be an extension of a person as an individual – always back to the personality and whatever quality it is that makes one.

New Site, New Blogger, New Fun!

A friend of mine just decided to give blogging a try (I actually asked him if he wanted to so as to justify the presence of a tinkering site for TXP). It’s at The North Gate Well" , I also liked the dot.com and wanted to get some awareness and feedback.
Go give it a look see, some comments if you go there would also be nice.

Trail Masters

Birdie

Birdie

These guys have the most interesting way of staying down out of the continuous prevailing breezes here – they use the trails thru the tall grass to move around. They are either doing this combination run fly maneuver to move quickly along them, or just running.
This one came around the corner at a full trot and just stopped a few feet in front of me and looked at me like I had no business being there. He was kind enough to pop a few feet of to one side of the trail to let me pass before it went about it’s concerns. A peculiar adaption to the presence of foot trails, it could be they were using animal trails this way before we came along, however.

A sinister look.

I’ve always wondered if ravens seem sinister because that is the idea that has always been attached to them, or because they do indeed look sinister. It makes sense that it would be the later – but this shot seals the case for me.
