I just recently discovered that the $1.50 I paid for one 6 cent graphic just to try something out is in fact a subscription, and recursive! I should have looked more closely and been sure of this before I started, of course, but to the point.
I don’t have a desire to continue the subscription. This is not a reflection on quality, if your not interested in thier product you don’t have to purchase it, I just don’t need it.
My first step in the process, opening the subscription, was quite smooth, no security issues, no checks and balances, all neatly automated and hassle free; I almost didn’t realize that I had done so, as a matter of fact I don’t remember doing so, though I am sure I did. My point being, doing so was very easy and immediate.
I have now begun the process of cancellation, and I am bracing for the all to common cancellation trauma, it’s not there in all cases but my first indication that I may see it here is the requirement to cancel by email, rather than the kind of quick and neat methods used to get you on board to begin with.
There may be reasons for this, I have heard some having to do with security. I am always interested in folks who can take a moments concern on that point, it is important; but I wonder where that concern is on the other side of the question, when they are getting credit card numbers and collecting money.
In any case, I have begun the cancellation process with the email that was requested, we will see if that is enough, or if the battle to keep someone from nibbling a buck and a half a month from my bank account becomes a battle to get me to give in and keep it just because trying to cancel it is such a hassle.

I’ll let you know how this one rolls out, I am betting on at least a months worth of Thunk… I wonder how much that would add up to if you counted all the cancellations they get.
