things that don’t move, please! anything, maybe just a quick bump in the night, an imagined slight, a trashy sight.
things that don’t move, things that don’t groove, things that just sit and grow more silent and sad.
a ship of fools, a clip of tools, bobbing forever without the news. “The world turns and burns and goes on without you if you snooze – you lose.”
a world wasting in our midst, unseen while another whirls by, unchanging for so long that we no longer see it, unused for so long that we no longer care.
things that don’t move, please! anything, maybe just a quick bump in the night, an imagined slight, a trashy sight.
things that don’t move, things that don’t groove, things that just sit and grow more silent and sad.
I spent a day looking for things that didn’t move, hoping to find something lovely overlooked. What I saw were furtive attempts at hiding under a lamp that no longer worked. The kind of thing you note because you can’t avoid it, then move on. Maybe I’ll try again tommorow with better luck – just maybe.
An Immortal Day
